A generalized melting temperature equation was proposed to predict three different types of melting temperatures according to the crystal size. It is applied to analyse the number crystal size distribution and melting temperature distribution for polyethylene materials. It is also applied to modify the Hoffman-Lauritzen expression for spherulitic crystallization kinetics of LLDPEs.
